Is there someone out there who actually prefers back-up vocals rather than leads? Is there someone out there who maybe naturally gravitates to harmonies or secondary (yet extremely important) vocal parts?
We're a festival/club cover band building an all 2000's Billboard Hits playlist. We've got an unbelievably awesome lead vocalist, but we don't have that all-important utility vocalist that can cover all those second parts that really make the songs.
Our former vocalist sang on every single song. They did harmonies, they doubled leads, they did gang vocals and they even did several duet-ish parts and some leads. If we find someone who's capable of covering all the above, leads are absolutely not out of the question.
This person must have excellent intonation and we've found that they either need a high range or have a solid falsetto. If you sit down and listen to 20 minutes of 2000's Billboard hits, you'll hear all the various singing you'll do.
So, is there a great utility singer out there?
Contact us with any video links you may have and we can send you a song list (which is not complete - so you'd have some input btw).
