29 year old multi instrumentalist looking to form a rock band with an emphasis on original work. My main instruments are guitar and keys, but I'm also useful on banjo, mandolin, ukelele, dobro, drums if necessary, and base. I'm comfortable and competent on both lead and backing vocals.
I'm a songwriter, and I like to use solid music theory in my writing, in order to create intricate and pleasing music, while simultaneously melting faces. I have no problem with covers, in fact I think they're fun and necessary for any new group, and I'm happy to play them, but I'm looking to exercise a little creativity.
I'm currently part of a local, gigging country band, and gear-wise am show-ready with acoustic and electric guitar, banjo, dobro, mandolin, and uke. If you're willing to give me a little time to put together a show outfit for any of my other available instruments, I'll rock that, too.
I'd rather form a new project rather than join an existing one, because I find it's easier to work with people that way. But I would consider the right established group, if we're a good fit for each other.
I've got transportation and reasonable equipment, so we're all set there.
For individuals of, shall we say, more "seasoning" than I who may be interested in my profile but thinking "this guy doesn't want to play with old farts like us", yes. Yes I do. I really don't care. Send me a message. The worst that can happen is we have different ideas.
I'm not a glory hog type, and I expect the people I work with to feel the same way. If you are, more power to you, but we're not going to work well together.
